How to make Dessert Crepes
Crepes have always been a favorite in my family! There are so many ways to fill and dress dessert crepes it's no wonder why so many people enjoy them!
In this post I share with you how I make a delicious and sweet dessert crepe batter PLUS you get to see my Youtube debut! 🙂

See how those lovely crepes look so happy hugging it's whipped cream and mixed berry filling?
Yes, those are some very happy crepes and you'll be happy too when you make these for your family!!
The recipe in this post is for a basic crepe batter that you can use with any filling or dessert topping you'd like. Use your imagination or use whatever tickles your fancy! 🙂
Sometimes we like to have the crepes with apple pie filling!

Rather than just write about these lovely little things, I thought I would share with you how I make them in my very first YouTube video!
You may or may not be able to tell, but I was a little nervous filming this – but it was fun to put together and I hope to make more of these little recipe videos to share with you. 🙂
Be sure to check out my bloopers too – I've made many a crepe in my day and I still sometimes have issues with getting them out of the pan! lol
PrintHow to make Dessert Crepes
- Yield: 8 –10 crepes 1x
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla
- vegetable oil
Instructions
- Whisk together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
- Add wet ingredients and mix thoroughly with a whisk until smooth and well combined. There should be no lumps.
- Heat up a pan to medium heat with a little bit of vegetable oil.
- Using a ladle spoon in some batter (about 1 1/2 scoops).
- Turn the heat down so that the crepe won't burn! It should be on low heat now.
- Rotate the pan so that the crepe batter spreads over the surface of the pan in a thin layer.
- Cook for about 1 – 1 1/2 minutes and remove from the pan using a large spatula, chop stick, or something similar (see my video above).
- Only cook the crepe on one side!
- Place the crepe on a layer of parchment paper.
- Repeat the steps above until you use up all the batter in the mixing bowl. Make sure that you place some parchment paper in between each crepe in the stack so they don't stick together.
- You can serve these with whipped cream, berries, chocolate syrup, powdered sugar, apple pie filling and anything else that you think would be yummy!! Use your imagination and serve these with whatever toppings/fillings you'd like. 😀

We make breakfast crepes quite often but have never made them for dessert. This looks delicious.
I have had crepes like these before at a restaurant and they were fabulous. I can’t wait to make these myself, thank you for sharing.
I could go for one (or more!!) of these right now! 😀 We just picked tons of fresh strawberries, I’m going to try to make this for my boys <3
I love anything with chocolate, berries and whipped cream. Yours look amazing and I can’t wait to make them.
There’s this newly opened restaurant in the city that serves crepes. We still haven’t checked it out. Now I want to go there so badly after seeing your crepes. Yum!
desert crepes are my absolute favorite things to eat! I grew up eating them, and they are fabulous!
Oh my gosh – I have made crepes before – not this beautiful looking tho – and I don’t remember how – so I’ll have to watch your video! Thank you 🙂
Oh my yum! I have all these ingredients in the house at the moment and am definitely going to have to try this.
I’ve never made crepes before so I had no idea they were that easy to make. I’ll have to give it a try soon.
Those are delicious looking crepes. Our daughter usually makes crepes for us during the weekend and I love it with fruits!
This is my second time this week to see a post on crepes (and I usually don’t). I think it’s a sign I should make them. 😉 Yours look great!
Oh these look so delicious. I love sweet crepes, they are one of the tastiest treats ever.
We love crepes, oh, ok, I like crepes. I love them filled with a cream cheese and fruit filling, with whipped cream on top. Unfortunately, they love my behind and belly a little too much, so I don’t get to have them often. Thank you so much for the video, now I know I was doing them right. I just should not have tried to cook both sides!
My whole family loves crepes too! Banana, strawberries, nutella, hazel nut! Any of those always comes out a winner! I would try you recipe too, thanks for sharing!
You did a great job! We love crepes, sometimes we even have them for dinner. I’ve never made crepes in a skillet, lol. I use a crepe maker that I dip in the batter and when I turn it over, they usually just fall right onto the plate. My french teacher in high school was who taught me to use a crepe maker. Our favorite is a cream cheese sauce I whip up with bananas and strawberries.
We love crepes for dinner and dessert! Our favorite – I think everyone in the family would agree – is banana and nutella! YUM!
These look amazing! I’m so excited to see this. I need to make these asap! They look so amazingly good. Yum!
I love crepes and these sound delicious and easy. Bananas and Nutella are my favorite crepe filling 🙂
We love to make crepes in this family! They are such a great breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Our favorite filling is Nutella with whipped cream and strawberries! Of course I could eat Nutella right out of the container! 🙂
I love crepes with a passion, though I always can’t get them right; I will surely try this out!
My mouth is watering so much right now! Those look absolutely fantastic!
