- 1 batch of donair meat
(from this recipe) - 1 batch of donair sauce
(from this recipe) - 4 sub rolls
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Note: If you’re lucky enough to find donair meat and donair sauce in your local grocery store, you’re welcome to use that too!

- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Prepare the donair meat according to the recipe. Then, heat the cooked donair meat in a frying pan over medium heat for a few minutes until warmed through. Allow some of the edges to crisp up slightly, but keep the meat moist.
- Prepare the donair sauce according to the recipe.
- Lightly toast the sub rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly crispy.
- Drizzle some donair sauce on the inside of each toasted sub roll.
- Add a generous layer of donair meat to each sub, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Top with chopped onions and tomatoes.
- Place the subs back in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, drizzle more donair sauce over the subs before serving. Enjoy!
