Depending on where you're located, you might be just receiving the first flakes of snow. Here in Toronto it is getting colder but we're still waiting for it to arrive.

My son Donnie is SUPER excited for the snow and to tell you the truth, so am I!

It's actually been quite a long time since I've been this excited about the snow arriving. I've lived in Toronto for about ten years now and a big difference when compared to the winters back in New Brunswick is that there's barely any snow here – even when it storms! I think I've been getting spoiled with these mild winters here, I tell ya! ?

When I was a kid, I remember the snow would sometimes come right up past my waist – I'd have to wade through the snow on the highway (before it was plowed) to get over to my grandmother's house across the road. Did you have winters like that when you were a kid?

Piles and piles of snow always bring back fond memories of the good times I had back home in New Brunswick as a kid.❤️ Staying warm and cozy with a cup of homemade hot chocolate at my grandmother's house during Christmas time is one of my most cherished memories.

I remember when it was cold and stormy outside my grandmother would always have so many little activities and ideas ready to keep me busy while cooped up. Stringing popcorn and cranberries to make garlands for theChristmas tree was one of my favorite activities to do when it was cold outside. I remember feeling so proud once my creation was finally put on the tree. ❤️

With Christmas time well on the way and with these special memories flooding back into my mind, I've been feeling like getting a little crafty!
