- 1 package (36) Oreo cookies, crushed into crumbs (reserve a small amount for sprinkling on top of the balls after dipping in chocolate)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups baking chocolate or chocolate wafers, melted
Instructions
- Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and Oreo crumbs until smooth.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until completely melted.
- Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place back on the lined baking sheet.
- Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle crushed Oreo crumbs on top of each truffle.
- Let the chocolate harden completely before serving. Add sprinkles or drizzle with white chocolate, if desired.
