Instructions

Optional: I like to grind my seasonings in a small coffee grinder before adding them to my meat. I find that this helps bring out the flavour, especially as it breaks apart the fennel seeds. If you don’t have a grinder, no worries! Adding the seasonings as they are will be tasty too!

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork with all seasonings.
  2. Form the meat into patties. The size is up to you! I find I enjoy nice thin wide patties to work best in sandwiches, but you can make them however works best for you. 😋
  3. NOTE: To prevent your patties from falling apart when cooking, chill them in the fridge for about 10 minutes before cooking them in the frying pan. This will help them hold their shape.
  4. Add a little oil to your frying pan, on medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden. Lay on a paper towel to drain any excess fat before serving.
  5. Serve as they are, or on homemade breakfast sandwiches!
