- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (fresh or jarred)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste

- Optional: squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Microwave Instructions (Fastest)
If using frozen green beans
- Add frozen green beans to a microwave-safe dish.
- Top with butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Cover loosely.
- Microwave on high 5–7 minutes, until hot and tender.
- Stir, then add red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired.
If using fresh green beans
- Add green beans to a microwave-safe dish with 2 tablespoons water.
- Cover and microwave on high 6–8 minutes, until tender.
- Drain water.
- Add butter, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Microwave 1 more minute to melt butter.
- Finish with red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired.
Stovetop Instructions
Prep first
- Frozen: Cook according to package directions; drain.
- Fresh: Boil in salted water 3–4 minutes; drain.
Finish
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Add green beans, season with salt and pepper.
- Toss and cook 2–3 minutes.
- Finish with red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired.
Oven Instructions (Dump-and-Bake)

- Frozen: No prep needed.
