While I don't really consider myself to be a full-fledged beauty blogger, every now and then I like to write a few beauty posts here on Dishes and Dust Bunnies since it's one of my interests.
If you've been coming to the blog for a while now, you might already know that I've always LOVED playing around with makeup and experimenting with different styles.
You might want to check out my old post from last year featuring a wonderful image of me from my younger days back in high school as a goth rocker kid!
lol… anyways…
Since I've been a mom for a little over two years now, taking time for myself or getting myself a little something special doesn't happen as often as it used to. Â I know a lot of you reading this can also relate.
A few months back I signed up for the Ipsy Glam Bag so I could give myself a much-deserved treat once a month.  If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's an awesome subscription service that sends about 4-5 makeup and beauty products in a little baggie every month for just $10 US.
I've been getting this every month for the past 3 months and I've very happy with it so far!
Ispy will send you a bag of items based on a survey that you fill out about your personal style and preferences for makeup and beauty products. Â So far, everything I've received fits my preferences perfectly!
Some of the colors and products I've received in past bags I wouldn't have picked for myself, but after trying them they suited me very well!  It feels like I have my own virtual stylist or something! lol
This month the June Ispy Glam Bag theme was “Swim into beauty”. Â Here's what I received in my bag this time:
- FORMULA X Power Source nail color
- tre'StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon in Marimoto Pink Pearl
- Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer
- BeFine Cucumber Facial Mask
- IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil in Universal Taupe
I just received my June Glam bag so I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Â So far I'm in love with the scent of the Cucumber facial mask!
The color of the nail color is very vibrant and the photos really don't do it justice.
I also love the color of the eyeshadow crayon and haven't used a shadow in this type of applicator before!  I've only used the classic type of eyeshadow in the little palettes before so I'm excited to try this out. 😀
The Brow Power eyebrow pencil and the Smashbox primer are something I've been wanting to try out for a while now!
Can you tell I'm pretty much jumping for joy as I write this?!
In the next few days I'm planning to try these out so I may post a little video on my Youtube channel to tell you what I think of them, so please stay tuned! 🙂
