I’ve received my next Ipsy Glam Bag for the month of July! YAY!
Last month I decided to start sharing with you what I've been receiving in my Ipsy bag subscription each month. Last time I got a bunch of really nice things!
While I mainly blog about my recipes and tasty experiments, every now and then I like to write about some topics related to makeup. If you're one of my foodie readers stay tuned for some more recipes! 🙂
If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription service where you will receive 4-5 makeup or beauty products in a cute little makeup bag for just $10 US!
This month I was impressed with the variety of different items that I received. I received some makeup, a tool and a hair product this time.
I’ve been receiving these Ipsy bags for about five months now and have been really enjoying getting the special little surprises in the mail each month. Typically I receive mostly makeup so it was quite nice to get some different things in my bag this time. My favourites will always be makeup though! 🙂
This month, I received the following in my Ipsy bag:
- Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Lip Conditioner
- Nicka K New York HQ Quad Eyeshadow
- Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick in Killing me Softly
- Crown Brush Professional Tweezers in Black
- Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo
This month’s makeup bag itself is really cute and colourful. The material that it’s made from seems quite durable – this is good for me since my makeup bags can take quite a beating. LOL
I'm eager to try the Eva dry shampoo since I’ve never tried a product like that before.
The Jersey Shore lip conditioner smells really nice and it’s kind of neat that all the ingredients in the product are completely certified organic! Having a lip product that’s completely organic is something that’s new to me so I’m excited to try this as well. At first when I saw it in my bag I was a little disappointed because I thought it was just like a regular typical lip balm but it's actually really nice!
The next item in my bag is the tweezers. I was really excited to receive this because I was actually planning on buying some new tweezers since my old ones weren’t working as well anymore.
These tweezers have a slanted tip so they’re good for brow shaping and since they’re made of stainless steel they are quite sturdy. These tweezers came in either pink or black – I'm happy to have received the black ones! 🙂
The next product that I received was the Teeez Cosmetics Read My Lips Lipstick.
My first impression of this product was of how unique and different the packaging is compared to other lipsticks. The packaging is very light in colour and has an artistic image of a skull on it which I really like.
From the tube the color looks a like a nice shade of pink. After trying this out on myself I wasn't sure if the color really suited me since it seemed almost “fluorescent” or had a bit of an orange glow to it.
I do really like the formula and it seems to work well but I'm not sure if the color is right for me.
The next item that I received is a nice full size eyeshadow quad from Nicka K New York. I haven’t tried this brand before but from what I’ve read these eye shadows are supposed to be anti-crease. Whenever I wear eyeshadow I tend to end up with a lot of buildup in the crease of my eyelid so I’m looking forward to seeing if these work as promised.
Love these colours!
So far, I'm really happy with my subscription to Ipsy and I think it's a great way to try new things without having to pay full price.
