My name is Michelle and I'm a stay at home mom with a passion for cooking, crafting, DIY and living a frugal lifestyle.
Dishes and Dust Bunnies is about making you laugh when you've had a tough day, inspiring you to create your own recipes, make some crafty creations and also give you some money saving ideas to help you juggle your busy life.
Being a single income household can make life difficult at times when raising a family, so saving money and living frugally is something that's always on my mind. I'm always trying to come up with new ways of saving a couple bucks while attempting to live a “rich”, fulfilling and comfortable lifestyle.
I enjoy sharing my recipes and use a variety of styles and influences in my cooking. I especially love to make home cooked old fashioned country meals similar to what I had growing up in rural New Brunswick, Canada at my grandparents farm. I moved out to the big city of Toronto back in 2008 after I married my husband but I'm still a country girl at heart!
I'm known for my sarcastic sense of humor, great big smile and positive outlook on life when things get tough. I have a love for art and theater and can sometimes be a little dramatic myself – or so I'm told. 🙂
Expressing myself through writing is something I'm very passionate about. I've been writing and story telling for as long as I can remember and felt that starting this blog would be a great way to share my thoughts, ideas and interests with you.
